Princess Nursery Inspiration

Growing up in palaces and stately homes, we can only imagine how beautiful Charlotte's nursery must be.
Although we aren't able to see photographs of the real thing, we thought we'd share some inspiration for you to recreate a royal themed nursery for your little princess at home.

The Colour Scheme

Whilst we imagine Charlotte's nursery is as traditional as her and George's attire, there really are no limits when choosing a colour scheme for a royal nursery. You can keep it classic with an all-white theme or combine with flashes of pastel pink, or opt for grander shades of burgundy, deep purple and gold!

The Cot

Kings and Queen's sleep on luxurious of beds in their private quarters, so choosing the right cot for your little royal is of the upmost importance. Cover the end of the cot in plush quilting and hang drapes to resemble a traditional four-poster, or add a contemporary twist with a wrought iron frame decorated with pastel coloured bedding.

The Decoration

Fairy lights, flowers and lots of dainty details - only the most beautiful decorations will do in a princesses bedroom. A chandelier is a key piece - opt for traditional white or customise your own by painting it to match your colour scheme. When it comes to wall decorations, murals or stencils look particularly beautiful. However, if you're less of the arty type, simply drape twinkling lights over mirrors and elegant picture frames. Add feminine finishes to for a touch of elegance - music boxes and any trinkets or toys that resemble fairytales: butterflies, stars, unicorns, crowns or flowers!
